After short flights from ILM to CLT and on to FLL we found ourselves enjoying some warm and humid Florida air. We picked up our luggage and were whisked to our hotel where they have so many people to help you. We received our paperwork for the morning which told us that our luggage must be out by 8:00 AM - ouch that is early. We sat out on our balcony for a while and watched two other ships leaving port.
We also watched the sunset followed by the bridge opening up. It was just before 6, but we decided it was time to eat. We went down to the lobby and were a bit skeptical about their bar/lounge there for dinner. We both had the most wonderful arugula salad with seared goat cheese, beet carpaccio, and candied pecans. That could be my every day salad from now on. I had a crab cake and mom had the lobster mac and cheese. There are a bunch of people arriving tonight, so the hotel is sold out. We get to meet at noon tomorrow to board the ship. Today's been a long day and we're going to call it an early evening. We have a big day tomorrow!
